• No more crash with the icon hidden. Opening SleepLess again while its menu-bar icon is hidden now brings up its panel. Before, it could quit instead.
• The update dot shows straight away. When an update is found, the menu-bar icon shows its dot at once.
• "Turn on when charging" stays on. The helper's automatic update at launch could switch it off. Now your choice is kept.

• The keyboard light is left as you like it. When SleepLess puts the keyboard light back (after lid-closed mode, for example), it no longer saves "off" as your setting if macOS happened to have the light switched off at that moment. Before, that could leave the keys dark even in a dark room.

More ways to keep your Mac awake, and it's still one tap to turn on.

• Quick menu. Right-click (or Control-click) the menu-bar icon to keep your Mac awake for 15 minutes to 4 hours, until a time you choose, or indefinitely. A tap still turns SleepLess on and off, and a press and hold opens the panel.
• Turn off at a time. Besides "in 1 hour", SleepLess can now turn off at a set time, with a progress bar in the panel. It can also show the time left beside the menu-bar icon if you like.
• Let the screen sleep. When idle now offers Stay on, Dim or Sleep. Sleep keeps your Mac awake (downloads, builds and music keep going) but lets the screen turn off.
• Automations. Stay awake automatically while chosen apps are running, while on the power adapter, while an external display is connected, or on a schedule. They're all off until you turn them on, and the panel always says which one is keeping your Mac awake.
• Keyboard shortcut. Turn SleepLess on or off from any app with a shortcut you choose.
• Notifications (optional). Get a notice when a timer ends, or when a safety rule turns lid-closed mode off.
• Shortcuts and scripts. sleepless:// links turn SleepLess on or off, or start a timer, from your own shortcuts and scripts.
• The privacy policy now covers the new features. Everything still stays on your Mac.

• One-step installer. Download SleepLess.pkg and open it: Continue, Agree, Install. One password or Touch ID prompt sets everything up, and SleepLess opens in the menu bar ready to go.
• Automatic updates. SleepLess checks for a new version once a day (you can turn this off) and installs it in place with one click. Your settings are kept, and every update is signed and verified before it is installed.
• Signed and notarized by Apple, so macOS opens it without any warnings.
• Charging light off when the lid is closed. In lid-closed mode the MagSafe light goes dark while the lid is shut and comes back when you open it.
• A tidier panel with shorter, clearer wording.
