✨ Simple Thermostat v4 is now stable

Simple Thermostat v4 is now the main release and is available from the default HACS catalog.

This is the biggest update to Simple Thermostat in a long time. It keeps the compact card style people already use, but brings it forward for current Home Assistant dashboards.

🛠️ Modern visual editor

Most cards can now be configured from the Home Assistant UI without touching YAML.

🌡️ More device support

Climate, fan, humidifier, and dehumidifier entities are now handled with domain-aware controls.

🎨 Enhanced visuals

Mode buttons, header toggles, hover states, active colors, and device activity indicators now feel much more polished.

🧩 Simple Thermostat Group

A new custom:simple-thermostat-group card lets you switch between multiple thermostats, fans, or dehumidifiers in one dashboard footprint.

🔁 Smoother upgrades

Older config names are imported automatically where possible, so existing cards should move forward cleanly.

🔧 Also included in this release

• hide_when for mode-aware setpoint visibility.
• Activity-following selection for custom:simple-thermostat-group.
• A quick fade when switching grouped cards.
• Removal of the unused group selector style editor option.
