Summary

Mooncite 4.0.1 is the clean-break multi-source release. It makes recall citations stable across index refreshes and adds read-only history retrieval for five supported source types.

What changed

  • Added authorized Pi, OMP, Claude Code, Codex, and exported ChatGPT history sources.
  • Added stable, source-qualified evidence IDs and URIs.
  • Kept bounded physical inspection working across refreshes and restarts.
  • Added narrow automatic discovery and explicit owner-controlled source registration.
  • Added the native Pi skill/extension and package-root-safe OMP MCP discovery.
  • Hardened derived-state ownership, rollback, client-registration ownership, purge coordination, and MCP output sanitization.

Verification

The full Linux typecheck, test, build, and isolated packed-install smoke suite passed for this tag. Version 4.0.2 later fixed activation under securely confined group-writable XDG base directories.
