@WhiskyTangoFawks WhiskyTangoFawks released this 21 Oct 17:16

The first alpha of Modbench: a VS Code extension that manages a Mod Organizer 2 instance and edits Bethesda plugins, with git for history. It supports Fallout 4, Skyrim Special Edition and Starfield, on Windows and Linux. The README says what works today and what is planned.

This is an early alpha that has seen little use on real modlists. Try it on a copy of your instance, and close MO2 while Modbench is open.

Install

Download the .vsix for your platform, then:

code --install-extension modbench-win32-x64-0.1.0.vsix   # Windows
code --install-extension modbench-linux-x64-0.1.0.vsix   # Linux

You need VS Code and git. Installing a mod from an archive needs 7-Zip on PATH, and scripts need Python. SHA256SUMS holds the checksum of each file.

Report a problem as a GitHub issue, with Modbench's log from the Output panel.
