If I set the polling frequency of the integration to 0, does this disable polling or will the system just go BOOM ? ;-) I would just like to explore the option to have the polling done exclusivly via Automations. |

I just wanted to share my results after polling via automations instead of standard polling. I disabled polling for the ModBus and the P1 meter and dit some timings on how fast the values were updated. The results are conclusive and are caused by HA and not by the Integrations (as already pointed out by Seth) In both cases the polling via automations becomes useless for intervals <12s. The delays become acumulative (6s delay after 4th cycle at 5s interval) So for my system:

Try turning off enable polling for changes under system options:
