5tratumOS 0.8.10 — Local AI recovery

This update adds the signed managed Local AI 0.1.3 runtime and the safe
in-place upgrade path used by 5tratMux 0.9.54. Existing public 0.1.0, 0.1.1 and
0.1.2 installations are upgraded only when they are still owned and enabled by
5tratumOS. Downloaded models, the selected model, resource preferences,
container identity, storage volume and previous On/Off intent are preserved.

The host verifies the replacement image before stopping the old runtime. If the
replacement cannot start, it restores the previous owned container and running
state. Private, disabled, cross-platform, differently owned and unknown Local
AI configurations are left untouched.

This bundle installs the separately signed 5tratMux 0.9.54 through the
OS-owned updater. That release repairs multi-address research networking,
improves safe failure diagnostics and restores explicit model switching.
The Raspberry Pi image was refreshed on 23 September to install 0.8.10 directly;
AMD/Intel UEFI and BIOS media remain at 0.8.7. See the RPi refresh notes below.

The OS archive uses the established SHA-256 checksum mechanism. Local AI and
native MUX metadata are independently signed; this does not sign the OS
archive.

Raspberry Pi image refresh — 23 September 2026

The Raspberry Pi 4/5 ARM64 image now installs the 0.8.10 rollup directly. Installer revision rpi1 fixes the first-boot failure Unable to locate package xserver-xorg-video-vesa: that driver is requested only on x86, where Debian provides it.

The embedded payload derives from the exact published 0.8.10 rollup (6d11fab5635912d3d3e922a4a84f5443ee4d934240c3a4bb288835db30937813). Only console/install.sh changes; the other 191 entries, OS build identity, application files and signed component catalogues are preserved. The derived payload SHA-256 is bafa34be56aafd343b49bed39348b09ce7dd32bb1d2212d4979491a9b87b57ad. The original 0.8.10 update assets and the x86 0.8.7 installation media are unchanged.

The base is Raspberry Pi OS Lite ARM64 Trixie, 2026-06-18, verified against upstream SHA-256 acff736ca7945e3b305f07cda4abdb870910e12634991da69783611756e381b3. Image tooling source: WillItMod/5tratum_Build commit 384e4039fe3b8f98cffba6ca40037d5ce48619eb.

Flashing erases the selected device. Preserve wallet files and application data on another device before replacing an Umbrel or 5tratumOS installation. Internet access is required for first-boot packages and downloaded components.

Image SHA-256: 8414d276ec4622dace6de7e4c4fef8bacf635058f3464f36cfe36bd8d994798b (655,080,272 bytes).

Validation: CI passed with 445 Python tests (one skipped) and 771 JavaScript tests; the real console package list resolves on Debian 13 ARM64. Independent inspection of the final compressed image passed archive/checksum verification, read-only EXT4 and FAT checks, exact payload and provenance checks, first-boot syntax/service checks, and the clean-image gate. Image validation record. Physical Raspberry Pi 4/5 boot and peripherals remain untested.
