Branch names now appear in collapsible folders, grouped by /. Local and remote branches stay separate, with remotes such as origin forming folders of their own.

• Remember folder expansion separately for each repository.
• Automatically expand matching paths while searching; restore saved expansion when clearing the search.
• Show branch counts and the current branch's path, with keyboard navigation and Codex theme/language support.
• Preserve full Git refs when browsing history or using branch operations.
• Refresh the English and Chinese README screenshots and documentation.

Validation: 72 Python tests and 9 branch tree tests passed. Browser checks covered nested paths, persistence, search, keyboard navigation, live language changes and light/dark narrow-panel layouts.

v0.3.0 · Follow Codex language

Git Branch Explorer now follows the Codex language, with English and Simplified Chinese UI. Menus, errors, confirmation previews, dates and line counts update when the host locale changes. Other languages currently fall back to English.

Switching language preserves drafts, form selections and operation previews without repeating Git requests. Branch names, commit messages, authors, paths and diffs remain in their original language.

The native entry uses Git when Codex does not supply a locale during tool discovery. Open the right panel and choose ＋ → Git. Close and reopen an existing panel after updating; if Codex retains the old plugin, reopen the app after running tasks finish.

Validation: 72 regression tests passed, JavaScript syntax and plugin validation passed, and browser checks covered live language switching, locale fallback, draft preservation, menus, previews, errors and unchanged Git file contents. The release includes both READMEs, current English/Chinese history screenshots and the MIT license.

Download the ZIP and verify it with SHA256SUMS. This remains an independent third-party plugin distributed through GitHub; no OpenAI directory listing is claimed.

Git 分支浏览器 0.2.0

首次公开发布 Git 分支浏览器。在 Codex 右侧面板查看本地/远程跟踪分支、提交历史、具体时间、增删行数和文件差异，并通过预览确认执行 Git 操作。

支持工作区暂存、提交、单文件/全部撤回与备份，以及分支创建、切换、合并、撤销、删除已合并分支、获取、快进拉取和普通推送。

安装：下载下方 git-branch-explorer-0.2.0.zip，解压后在插件目录运行：

python3 scripts/install.py

需要 Git、Python 3.9+ 和支持 MCP thread entrypoints 的 Codex 桌面客户端。当前验证平台为 macOS。安装后在右侧面板选择 ＋ → Git 分支；入口缺失时重新打开 Codex，可继续使用原任务。安装器不会覆盖已经存在的插件目录。

验证：67 项回归测试通过；发布包已通过隔离安装及 MCP 启动检查。SHA256SUMS 提供 ZIP 的校验值。

这是独立开发的第三方本地插件，目前通过 GitHub 分发，尚未上架 OpenAI 官方插件目录。当前暂未附加开源许可证。
