AlphaRing:MCC Hook Failed to Initialize (Steam)

Had the mod working perfectly yesterday. MCC seems to have updated and changed version.numbers which I feel has broken the mod. Would there be any way I could fix this myself, or would a new version need to be released?

Yup MCC update has destroyed this mod I do think a new version is required yes.

Good news: that's the correct new version. Bad news: looks like the offsets for where all the functions are changed.

I had to roll back the update to play tonight. That was fun trying to do on Friday night game night with my cousins lol. Managed to get it to work though. As if it would drop on game night!

Okay, yeah, I've tried a couple different things to tweak the DLL offsets, and it ain't happy. Learned a lot though, lol... Easiest option right now is to roll back to an older version of MCC. Use your preferred depot downloader and it seems to be reasonably okay for at least the campaign.

Yeah, ive been looking at it too. It seems to be failing on line 119 in mcc.cpp

If it's true that the functions have changed this might be a very painful fix.

I don't have a Steamdeck, I don't know if this will work, but this Reddit post has someone in the comments detailing it out apparently.

Also seems to indicate that the Steam link I shared above seems to apply to PC and Steamdeck? Maybe I overlooked a difference but they appeared to be the same process. Godspeed
