Certain audio and video streaming websites serve DRM-protected content.
This WebKit backport supports DRM'd content. However, where standard Safari on modern macOS uses Apple's Fairplay CDM, our backport uses Google's Widevine CDM.
This confuses some websites, which see a Safari user agent and attempt to send Fairplay-protected content we can't play. On these websites, try changing to a Firefox user agent instead:
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:140.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/140.0
As of August 2026, websites known to need a custom user agent include Amazon Prime Video, CBS.com, and Vimeo (when DRM is in use). Tubi does not require a custom user agent. Netflix does not appear to work under any circumstances for some reason.
