wumbOS Shell v0.1.0-alpha.1

This is the first public alpha of wumbOS Shell, a Quickshell-based desktop shell built for Hyprland and Wayland.

Included

• multi-monitor top bars and Hyprland workspace integration;
• Audio, Network/DNS, System Monitor, Agent, Attention, tray, power, weather/date, launcher, and clipboard functionality;
• NVIDIA enhanced GPU telemetry when nvidia-smi is available;
• optional OMP Agent integration;
• optional integration with wumbosd when installed separately;
• documented installation, update, rollback, and removal procedures.

Tested environment

• Fedora 44
• Hyprland 0.56.2
• Quickshell 0.3.0

Hyprland is currently required. Other compositors and platform/version combinations should be considered unsupported or untested unless specifically listed in the support guide.

Known limitations

• On the tested stack, a popup opened beneath a stationary pointer can require a slight pointer movement before the same bar control receives another click.
• OMP cannot reliably report an ordinary human-question waiting state with its currently exposed lifecycle.
• Enhanced AMD and Intel GPU telemetry is not implemented yet.
• Single-monitor operation is structurally supported but has not received live qualification.
• OMP is currently the only supported Agent harness.
