Cadence 1.0.0

A native Pomodoro timer that feels at home on your Mac.

Requires macOS Sequoia 15 or later. One download supports Apple silicon and Intel.

Install

Download the .dmg, open it and drag Cadence into Applications. Eject the disk image, then open Cadence from Applications. The .zip is an alternative: extract it and move Cadence.app to Applications.

This release is ad-hoc signed and not notarised. After attempting to open Cadence, macOS may require you to go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway, then confirm opening it. Download from this repository's Releases page. No system-wide security changes are needed.

First-run setup helps you choose intervals, appearance and optional notification access. Cadence continues in your menu bar when you close its window.

Your settings and history stay on your Mac. Upgrades preserve them. Export a CSV before using the reset controls if you want a backup.

Verify a download

SHA256SUMS.txt lists the SHA-256 checksums of the DMG and ZIP. Run shasum -a 256 on your download and compare its result with the corresponding entry.
