v0.2.5
v0.2.4
- Edit a com-object's description directly in the Group Objects table.
- Set a com-object's default datapoint type (or inherit it).
- These are preserved when exporting and re-importing the project.
v0.2.3
- Fixed the devices tree context menu on collapsed nodes.
- Fixed topology box widths.
- Fixed catalog product details.
- Fixed device download: extended property services and IP device settings.
v0.2.2
- New Monitor with group monitor, bus monitor and bus activity.
- Compare two projects and renumber group addresses.
- Download a device by its serial number and overwrite its address.
- Support for DALI Type-A gateways.
- Application versions in the catalog; change and update a device's application.
- Unified, centred dialogs across the app.
- Compact projects and remove unused product data.
- Improved login and project export.
- Smoother, more responsive user interface.
v0.2.1
- Imported projects now resolve their device applications.
- More reliable online catalog downloads.
v0.2.0
- OpenKNX application scripting support.
- Improved
.knxprojimport. - Faster project loading.
- Reworked user interface.
v0.1.12
- Safer device programming: a download that fails after it has started rewriting a device's tables now reports a clear partial-download error (the device likely needs a successful re-download) instead of a generic failure, and read-back verification distinguishes a real value mismatch from a malformed response.
- More robust download internals: property capture/layout handling, coverage validation and additional wire-level checks for the device download/programming path.
- KNX master data now refreshes automatically: the cached
knx_master.xmlis re-fetched from the KNX update server once it is older than 7 days (falling back to the existing cache when offline), so new mask versions and manufacturers are picked up without a manual reset.
v0.1.11
- Improved Linux version: user-local installer (
install.sh) that adds a menu launcher with icon, startup check for a file-dialog helper (zenity/kdialog), and a build that runs on more distributions. - Programming fix: a device rejecting an optional bracketed property write (
LdCtrlMapError) no longer aborts the download. - Windows x64: use XKNX-Editor-windows.zip for normal hardware; if OpenGL is missing or stuck (VMs, remote sessions, no GPU driver) use XKNX-Editor-windows-softwaregl.zip. On Windows on ARM use XKNX-Editor-windows-arm64.zip.
v0.1.10
- Open an ETS group-address export (ga-export/01 .xml) from the Open Project dialog: it is imported into a new project whose group-address tree (main/middle group folders, addresses, datapoint types) mirrors the export. No devices or topology, since a GA export carries none.
- Group addresses accept dotted datapoint types (1.001) and bare main numbers; values are normalized to token form (DPST-1-1 / DPT-5), bad values rejected.
- Export heals bundled data so ETS reliably opens a round-tripped project: fill empty parameter types, convert legacy manufacturer schema, substitute an unusable master, restamp an unreleased tool identity, re-emit imported manufacturer folders byte-identical with a verifying signature.
- Export shows a success summary (project, file size, schema, counts, signed, certificate) with an open-folder action.
- Fix 'database is locked' from the render loop during export.
- Bundle the dukpy jsruntime data files so the frozen app no longer reports a missing process_runtime.js.
- Windows installer: fail with a clear message when install.bat is run from inside the ZIP preview or WinRAR (nothing extracted yet) instead of silently copying nothing, and verify the app actually landed after copying.
- Windows x64: use XKNX-Editor-windows.zip for normal hardware (GPU rendering). If OpenGL is missing or stuck (VMs like UTM/QEMU, remote sessions, no working GPU driver), use the separate XKNX-Editor-windows-softwaregl.zip, which bundles Mesa software OpenGL. On Windows on ARM use the native XKNX-Editor-windows-arm64.zip (also bundles software OpenGL).
v0.1.9
- Copy a device's configuration (parameters and/or group-address links) and paste it onto one or more selected devices, or duplicate a device.
- Copy/paste group-object links across com-objects (positional or merge).
- Multi-select in the Devices tree drives the joint paste target.
