python -m patchline demoPython 3.10+, no runtime dependencies or API keys. After installation the bundled demo runs offline and shows four API changes mapped to four potential call sites.
What changed
- Added an installed demo,
--version, contribution guidance, and a copyable GitHub Actions integration. - Fixed false field removals when a response becomes a composed schema. Such changes now require manual review rather than being presented as proven breakages.
- Added wheel installation/demo checks outside the checkout to the Windows/Linux CI matrix.
Validation and compatibility
55 tests pass, and all four Windows/Linux Python 3.10/3.12 CI jobs passed. The pinned Stripe comparison finds four breaking field removals, one schema change requiring review, and 6,380 additive findings.
Reports introduce severity REVIEW and summary.review. Diff exits 1 for breaking or review findings, 0 for no supported findings, and 2 for errors. Source matching is heuristic; schema composition semantics are not fully analyzed. See the README limits and changelog.
The wheel is attached below. SHA-256: f096a9370922eb68565b110ff490eee8f7315311771631f9ea7da8a2e7fc4c82.
If you try this on an API client, minimal missed-case and false-positive reports are welcome. Fork to contribute a focused improvement; see CONTRIBUTING.md.
