The player's manual lives at retroxr.app.
That is the maintained documentation — installing on a Quest or PC, spawning hardware and wiring it up, cores and BIOS files, the DVD player and VCR, RomM, RetroAchievements, and troubleshooting. Start there.
- Download and install — including a full sideloading walkthrough
- Your first session
- Downloading and managing cores
- Troubleshooting
- Reporting bugs — how to collect a logcat or an adb bugreport
- Devlog
- Discord
This wiki is open to everyone, so it is the place for notes that do not belong in a manual: per-game findings, core settings that worked on your hardware, quirks of a particular headset, works-in-progress. Add pages freely.
If something here turns out to be generally true, it belongs in the manual — every page on the site has an Edit this page link that opens a pull request against retroxr-site.
RetroXR is an early-days hobby project. Expect rough edges, and please report the ones you hit.
