AA Keyboard Unlock v2.2.0
LSPosed module that unlocks the Android Auto on-screen keyboard while driving.
Install
- Install
aa-keyboard-unlock-2.2.0.apkon a rooted device with LSPosed - LSPosed Manager → enable module → scope Android Auto and Google Maps
- Open AA Keyboard Unlock → enable Unlock keyboard while active
- Force-stop Android Auto and reconnect to your head unit
Logging build: aa-keyboard-unlock-2.2.0-log.apk enables verbose MAPS-DRIVE traces in LSPosed log (for development / DHU capture). Same behavior otherwise.
What it unlocks
- External app text fields (WhatsApp reply, messaging, etc.)
- Google Maps Car search bar (including drive mode / voice-only path)
- Car App SearchTemplate / Voice Plate keyboard hints
Mic dictation stays available; search taps open QWERTY instead of voice-only.
Requirements
- Rooted device (Magisk or KernelSU) with LSPosed
- Android Auto + Google Maps installed
First launch after install
Maps runs a one-time background discovery scan per Maps version (cache schema v15). Wait ~10–30s after first open before testing search tap; subsequent launches use the warm cache.
