MAC Editor v0.0.8

This is the initial release of my forked version of MAC Editor, with several enhancements over the original.

✨ What's New

  • AP MAC Override Toggle – A dedicated switch to independently control whether the custom MAC address is applied to the mobile hotspot (AP) interface. Default is OFF, which helps devices that fail to start hotspot when the MAC is modified on wlan2. Turn it ON if you want the custom MAC to apply to your hotspot as well.

  • Multi‑language UI – The app now supports both English and Chinese. You can switch languages anytime via the app menu (three dots in the top‑right corner). The UI refreshes instantly.

🔧 Technical Improvements

  • Hotspot compatibility fix – Replaced method‑based detection with interface‑name‑based detection (wlan2) to accurately identify AP calls, ensuring the AP override switch works reliably.

  • Language storage optimization – Language preference is now stored in local SharedPreferences, fixing the previous issue where language switching had no effect.

📦 Installation

  1. Install the APK from the attachments below.
  2. Activate the module in LSPosed (scope: System Framework).
  3. Reboot your device.
  4. Open the app and configure your MAC address as needed.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • This is a modified fork of the original MAC Editor by jqssun. All credits go to the original author.
  • The package name has been changed to io.github.Rillwyn.maceditor, so this version can be installed alongside the original.
  • If you are updating from a previous version, make sure you are using the same signing key. You may need to uninstall the old version first if the package name differs.

  • AP MAC 覆写开关 – 独立控制是否对移动热点（AP）接口应用自定义 MAC 地址。默认关闭，可帮助那些在修改 wlan2 接口 MAC 后无法启动热点的设备。如需对热点也使用自定义 MAC，开启此开关即可。

  • 多语言界面 – 应用现支持英文和中文，可通过右上角菜单（三个点）随时切换，界面即时刷新。

🔧 技术改进

  • 热点兼容性修复 – 改用接口名称（wlan2）识别 AP 调用，确保 AP 覆写开关准确生效。

  • 语言存储优化 – 语言偏好现存储在本地，解决了之前切换无效的问题。

📦 安装说明

  1. 安装下方附件中的 APK。
  2. 在 LSPosed 中激活模块（作用域：系统框架）。
  3. 重启设备。
  4. 打开应用，根据需要配置 MAC 地址。

  • 本项目是基于 MAC Editor 原项目（作者 jqssun）的修改版，所有原始版权归原作者所有。
  • 包名已改为 io.github.Rillwyn.maceditor，可与原版共存安装。
  • 如果从旧版本升级，请确保使用相同的签名密钥。如果包名不同，可能需要先卸载旧版。
