NeXtep v1.2.1 improves navigation-button adaptation, both landscape orientations, keyboard focus handoff, and workspace stability, while reducing runtime overhead.

Updates

  • Rewritten navigation-button adaptation: adds a “虚拟按键适配” (Navigation-button adaptation) switch, improving workspace layout and navigation-bar display with three-button navigation.
  • Both landscape orientations: keeps the control area at the phone's physical top while the main-window app rotates with the landscape direction.
  • App strip recovery: fixes app icons occasionally disappearing and requiring a switch between automatic and manual ordering to return.
  • Keyboard focus during window switches: improves focus handoff between the main window and slots, reducing cases where the keyboard fails to appear, opens unexpectedly, or covers slots.
  • Slot swipe dismissal: fixes old previews or colored blocks briefly flashing when a slot app is swiped to the background.
  • Native floating windows: improves layering and switching animations, reducing cases where workspace controls are obscured or briefly disappear.
  • Assistant-panel fullscreen recovery: fixes the assistant panel failing to return to fullscreen after closing the workspace through the system Control Center.
  • Lock and unlock recovery: pauses slot output while locked, then restores display output after unlocking while retaining existing tasks.
  • Reduced runtime overhead: reduces repeated task queries and unnecessary background checks, and stops related monitoring when the workspace closes.
  • Media card layout: adjusts artwork size in smaller control areas to reduce content clipping.

Requirements

  • Android 16 / ColorOS 16 or Android 17 / ColorOS 17 on an adapted device
  • Root access
  • Zygisk and LSPosed with modern libxposed API support
  • Primarily tested on OnePlus PLK110; current changes have been partially tested on Android 17 / ColorOS 17. Other devices and ROMs require separate adaptation.

Installation

  1. Download and install the APK below.
  2. Enable the NeXtep module in LSPosed.
  3. Select all recommended module scopes.
  4. Restart the device before use.

  • 优化锁屏与解锁恢复流程：锁屏时暂停小窗输出，解锁后恢复显示并保留原有任务。
  • 降低运行开销：减少重复任务查询和不必要的后台检查，工作区关闭后停止相关监控。
  • 优化音乐卡片布局：在较小控制区域下调整封面尺寸，减少内容裁切。

使用要求

  • 已适配设备上的 Android 16 / ColorOS 16 或 Android 17 / ColorOS 17
  • 已获取 Root 权限
  • 已安装 Zygisk 和支持新版 libxposed API 的 LSPosed
  • 当前主要针对一加 PLK110 测试；本次改动已在 Android 17 / ColorOS 17 上进行部分真机验证，其他设备和 ROM 仍需单独适配。

安装方法

  1. 下载并安装下方的 APK。
  2. 在 LSPosed 中启用 NeXtep 模块。
  3. 勾选模块推荐的全部作用域。
  4. 重启手机后使用。
