A fast-paced, neon-styled 2D action game made for Ludum Dare 60 (Compo), inspired by the theme Old Tech.

What if an old magnetic tape recorder could record time itself?

In REWIND RAMPAGE, every movement you make is recorded. Rewind through your own footsteps to destroy enemies, trigger explosions, and survive a malfunctioning machine that has forgotten how to erase the past.

Features

• Turn your past into a weapon. Your movements leave behind a recorded trail. Press SPACE to rewind through your actual path at high speed and strike pursuing enemies.

• Create explosive intersections. Plan your movement and use intersecting trails to unleash powerful attacks.

• Experience a three-act story. Survive the recording, confront a phantom replaying your past actions, and face the remnants of a broken temporal archive.

• Challenge Endless Mode. Fight through dense waves of pursuers, rewind dangerous arena mechanisms, and face the indestructible MASTER TAPE boss.

• Master time itself. Arena hazards can rewind and replay their attacks. Eventually, the boss can force you back through your own history and challenge you to survive without advance warnings.

• Old Tech at its core. RECORD, PLAY, REWIND, and ERASE are not just visual themes — they shape the entire game.
