AfterFrame 0.3.0 — Video

AfterFrame now manages video alongside your photos. Clips are indexed, get a poster frame and duration badge, scrub on hover, and play back in the lightbox with a custom player — with an automatic H.264 proxy for codecs macOS can't decode natively.

Video

  • Indexed alongside photos — each clip is probed for duration, dimensions, and codec on import, and a poster frame is generated automatically
  • Gallery — poster thumbnail with a duration badge; hover to scrub a keyframe filmstrip without opening anything
  • Lightbox playback — a custom player with play/pause, scrubber, volume, fullscreen, and spacebar control
  • Plays anything — automatic on-the-fly H.264 proxy for codecs the OS can't decode natively (e.g. 10-bit HEVC)

✅ Quality

  • End-to-end test coverage for the video surface (import → gallery → lightbox → MCP), running against a real sample clip

macOS only (Apple Silicon). Signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple — opens without Gatekeeper warnings.
