logcut v0.1.20
Changes
Limit captured command output to 10 MiB per log file.
Continue draining output after the limit while the foreground command is running so large-output commands can finish normally.
Stop the output-capture helper after a bounded best-effort drain when the foreground command exits.
Add a truncation marker to the retained log and print a notification when output is truncated.
Add regression coverage for the size limit, preserved child exit code, finalized logs, and explicitly redirected background processes.
Compatibility
Existing commands, profiles, exit-code behavior, and retention settings are unchanged.
Logs that would previously grow beyond 10 MiB are now truncated.
Writes by background descendants to inherited stdout or stderr after the foreground command exits are not guaranteed. Redirect stdin, stdout, and stderr explicitly when a background process must continue.
