• Warn when a successful command log cannot be deleted.
• Attempt best-effort secret masking and terminal-control sanitization before leaving a log behind after a cleanup failure.
• Warn clearly when both cleanup and sanitization fail and unsafe log content may remain.
• Remove terminal escape sequences and unsafe control characters from retained failure logs.
• Update regression coverage for retained logs containing invalid UTF-8 and control bytes.

Compatibility

• Existing commands, profiles, exit-code behavior, and retention settings are unchanged.
• Successful command logs are still removed during normal operation.
• Retained logs may differ by having terminal escape sequences and unsafe control characters removed.
