Kiln 0.2.16
Kiln 0.2.16
- Open ordinary files, dotfiles and extensionless files from Finder with Open With → Kiln on macOS. Open several files together, reuse existing editors and preserve unsaved changes.
- Discover installed CLI commands, subcommands and options automatically from supported local help, including Docker Desktop plugins. Completion uses bounded background probes and a cache, with a generated Docker Engine, Buildx and Compose fallback. No AI account or model connection is required.
- Complete directories for
cdand directory options, files for file options, local Git branches and package scripts. Continue into nested folders and handle spaces, Unicode, quotes and literal path characters. - Keep the completion menu beside the cursor inside the terminal pane, with matching fonts, theme and icons. Tab inserts a suggestion; Down selects the menu; Enter runs the original command until the menu is selected.
- Improve DotENV and SSH client/server highlighting, filename and shebang detection, and common configuration formats. Preserve manual language choices and Plain Text mode.
Open a new integrated Zsh terminal after updating to load the new completion bridge. Unsupported shells keep their native completion. Existing terminal sessions continue running.

Kiln 0.2.15
- Complete Antigravity browser-code sign-in without waiting indefinitely for the CLI to exit. Show code verification and actionable failures, prevent duplicate submissions, and remove copied line wrapping from Google codes.
- Fix Antigravity task launch when an account’s private home differs from Kiln’s configuration directory.
- Use the selected Antigravity account when typing
agyin a new Kiln zsh terminal, preserving arguments and the current folder, including when Kiro is installed. Version, help and update commands continue to run directly. - Show Antigravity quota usage and reset times for each model group. Checks run on startup and every five minutes through the official read-only CLI command, require agy 1.1.11 or later, and do not start model turns or spend model quota.
Antigravity account management is available on macOS. Existing running agent sessions keep their original account. Open a new Kiln terminal after updating to use the shell integration.

Kiln 0.2.13
- Complete Antigravity browser sign-in by pasting the authorization code into Settings → Accounts → Login code, then choosing Confirm or pressing Enter.
- Recognize the official CLI’s manual-code prompts and submit the code to its terminal correctly.
- Keep Antigravity and Codex login drafts and errors separate.
Kiln 0.2.12
Kiln 0.2.12
- Add multiple Antigravity Google accounts in Settings → Accounts on macOS. Sign in through the official CLI, import an existing login, rename accounts, and choose the account for new tasks.
- Keep each Antigravity account in its own home and macOS keychain. Existing tasks retain their original account; reauthentication verifies the account identity before applying new credentials.
- Discover conversations from registered Antigravity accounts for read-only synchronization and exact conversation restart.
- Start initial conversation synchronization immediately when no agent is running, and defer automatic synchronization until active agents exit while preserving the selected conversation.
Antigravity account management is available on macOS. Usage quotas and automatic account rotation are not included. Windows continues to use the ordinary Antigravity CLI login.

- Choose how many recent conversations each workspace keeps synchronized (20 by default). Copies across agents count once; older histories remain available.
- Pause automatic conversation synchronization while an agent CLI runs in the workspace. Sync after CLI/shell exit, with a 60-second fallback check.
- Reduce background synchronization work with cached discovery, unchanged-alias reuse and retry delays, and a pause after each scan.
- Speed up Claude Code history reconstruction after compaction while preserving original message order and attachments.
- Keep cancelled scan results from interfering with newer synchronization work.
This release reduces verified synchronization costs. System-wide keyboard or mouse latency has not been established as a consequence of those costs.
Kiln 0.2.10
Kiln 0.2.10
- Kiln runs the Antigravity CLI (
agy) next to Claude Code and Codex. Start it from
New task, Open in folder, the command palette or a workspace's agent request, which
passes the request as agy's initial prompt. Panels runningagyshow the Antigravity mark. - Kiln records the conversation an Antigravity panel has open without changing agy's
configuration, so Restart in the same conversation and restarts after a CLI update reopen
it withagy --conversation. CLI updates useagy update. Antigravity usage limits show a
notification with the reset time. - Antigravity conversations in a workspace linked for conversation synchronization are copied
to Claude Code and Codex, so you can continue them with/resume. Kiln only reads agy's
files; turns continued in Claude Code or Codex stay there. - Kiln does not save or switch Antigravity accounts; agy keeps its own sign-in.
- The agent choice below a workspace request fits all three agents in narrow sidebars.
Conversation restart for Antigravity panels is not available on Windows. Windows archives
remain unsigned by Authenticode; in-app updates use the existing Ed25519 update signature.

- An account you use in Claude Code no longer shows "sign-in required" when Kiln's own copy of
its login has expired. Kiln keeps a separate login for each account's panels; when that
copy has expired and Claude Code's own login of the same account is valid, Kiln reads the
account's usage with Claude Code's login instead of asking you to sign in again.

- A Codex conversation continued in Claude Code shows Codex's tool calls the way Claude Code
shows its own:- Shell commands are
Bashrecords, also when they ran in another folder (shown as
cd FOLDER && …), ran in parallel, were still running, or came from anexec_command
call. - File edits made with
apply_patchareUpdaterecords with their diff and line
numbers, and new files areWriterecords. - Other tool results that stay readable text show the command output instead of raw JSON.
- Shell commands are
- Claude Code copies made by earlier versions are written again once in this form, after they
have been unchanged for ten minutes.

- A long conversation continued from Codex in Claude Code no longer stops at "Autocompact is
thrashing". Kiln's Claude Code copy now starts the context at a compaction boundary: the
most recent part of the conversation stays in context, and the boundary's summary lists
your earlier requests. The whole conversation stays in the transcript. Copies made by
earlier versions are written again once, after they have been unchanged for ten minutes. - An error notice from Claude Code (an API error, or a compaction that cannot fit the
context) is no longer copied to Codex as an answer; your request is.

update signature.

Kiln 0.2.6
- Conversation sync keeps your original Codex conversation when Codex Desktop imports one
of Kiln's Claude Code copies. Such an import no longer replaces the original, so turns you
continue in the original Codex conversation reach Claude Code again. A conversation whose
original was replaced this way, and that you continued afterwards, becomes the shared
history again with the next check; the history it replaces stays a restorable branch. - Claude accounts you switched away from stay signed in: Kiln renews their saved login before
it expires, as Claude Code does for the active account. - Signing in to a Claude account again reads its usage right away, before Apply, and
clears the previous "sign-in expired" note.
Windows archives remain unsigned by Authenticode; in-app updates use the existing Ed25519
update signature.
