  • Refreshed the README with installation, quick-start, API stability, documentation, and development guidance.
  • Added pkgdown website configuration and GitHub Pages workflow support.

Testing

  • Audited legacy tests/*.R scripts against the testthat suite.
  • Added missing compatibility coverage for sample data, parser callbacks, bundled UTF-8 fixtures, empty-vector list behavior, and S4 setup behavior.

Validation

  • testthat suite: 107 passing assertions.
  • pkgdown::build_site(): completed successfully with the configured site metadata and reference index.
  • R CMD check --no-manual RJSONIO_2.0.2.tar.gz: Status OK on Windows with R 4.4.2.
