RJSONIO 2.0.5 is a CRAN maintenance release for the GCC 16 installation warning reported on the r-devel-linux-x86_64-debian-gcc check flavor.

Changes:

  • Added bounds checks in the bundled UTF-8 conversion helper before indexing the offsetsFromUTF8 table.
  • Bumped package metadata to 2.0.5.

Validation:

  • Local strict compile with -Werror=array-bounds: passed for the reported ConvertUTF.c warning.
  • testthat::test_local(): 126 passed, 0 failed.
  • tools::buildVignettes(dir = "."): passed.
  • pkgdown::build_site(): passed.
  • R CMD build .: passed.
  • R CMD check --as-cran RJSONIO_2.0.5.tar.gz: no ERROR or WARNING; one local Windows time-verification NOTE.
