@Ybucaille Ybucaille released this 23 Oct 22:54

The first public release of LiveQuill: a floating prompt bar for any local website. Type a change, the model of your choice edits your real files, and the page reloads.

▶ Watch the demo (a real, unedited first run).

Highlights

  • Ask from the page. A floating bar on your local site: describe the change, the model searches, reads and edits the project, then the page reloads by itself. The answer streams live in a side panel.
  • Any model. Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Mistral, OpenRouter, local models with Ollama, LM Studio or llama.cpp, any OpenAI-compatible server, plus the Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLIs.
  • All your sites. A dashboard to add, open, stop or remove projects. Each site is served as-is or behind your dev server (Vite, Next, Astro…), on its own port.
  • Undo. Every file is backed up before it changes; one click restores the last request, several times in a row, for CLI agents too.
  • Safe by default. 127.0.0.1 only, session token and same-origin checks, API keys kept server-side (chmod 600), sandboxed file tools (no .., .git, .env*, node_modules, no shell).
  • Small-model friendly. Text fallback when a model has no tool calling, and a nudge when it stops halfway.
  • Four themes for the bar: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Minimal, in light and dark.
  • Zero dependencies. Python 3.10+ standard library only.

Install

Known limitations

  • The interface is in French for now.
  • Tested on Linux and macOS; Windows is not tested yet.
  • The Gemini CLI adapter is experimental (not tested).
