MuchToDo

A full-stack todo app built with React, Go, MongoDB, and Redis.

Stack

• Frontend — React 19 + Vite + TailwindCSS → S3 + CloudFront
• Backend — Go + Gin → EC2 (Docker) behind an ALB
• Cache — Redis on ElastiCache
• DB — MongoDB Atlas

Running locally

Backend

cd Server/MuchToDo
cp .env.example .env   # fill in your values
docker compose up -d   # starts MongoDB + Redis
go run ./cmd/api/main.go

Server runs on http://localhost:8080.

Frontend

cd Client
cp .env.example .env   # set VITE_API_BASE_URL
npm install
npm run dev

UI runs on http://localhost:5173.

CI/CD

Push to main triggers deployment automatically.

• Frontend — builds the React app, syncs to S3, invalidates CloudFront
• Backend — runs tests, builds Docker image, pushes to ECR, rolls out via SSM to the ASG

PRs run tests and build only (no deploy).
