Release list
v2.7.0
Moves the Apple ID -80045 sign-in fix onto the official upstream fix in Impactor v2.7.0, replacing the local workaround shipped in the v2.6.5-* releases.
Changed
- Builds against Impactor
v2.7.0. Apple's October 2026 change made every login fail with-80045("This action cannot be completed at this time") because anisette servers reported client info Apple no longer accepts. Impactor fixed this upstream inv2.7.0, and this server now builds against it — so the fix is the maintainer's, not a patch carried here. - Dropped the vendored anisette fork. The
v2.6.5-*releases carried a local fork of Impactor'somnisettecrate (the Android-device-info stopgap). That fork — and with it theIMPACTOR_MCP_ANISETTE_URLserver override and the multi-server fallback — is removed now that the real fix lives upstream. If you need a custom anisette server again, open an issue and it can be layered back on top.
Everything else from v2.6.5-4 stays: browser-based sign-in on 127.0.0.1 (your password never passes through the agent), in-place updates that keep your auto-refresh setting, and the full tool set.
Updating
macOS / Linux:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/YeetDisDude/impactor-mcp/main/install.sh | shWindows (PowerShell):
irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/YeetDisDude/impactor-mcp/main/install.ps1 | iexThen restart Claude Desktop and any running Claude Code sessions. Claude Desktop extension users: download and open impactor-mcp.mcpb below. Also listed on the MCP Registry as io.github.YeetDisDude/impactor-mcp.
Known issues
- Apple rate-limits repeated logins. After several attempts in a row it may reject even the correct password for a while, or report the account as locked. Make one attempt and wait a few minutes before retrying.
v2.6.5-4
Fixes Apple ID sign-in, which has failed since Apple's change on 2026-10-12. This release also covers v2.6.5-3, which shipped without notes.
Fixes
- Sign-in no longer fails with
-80045("This action cannot be completed at this time"). Apple started rejecting the macOS device description that public anisette servers report. impactor-mcp now presents as an Android device instead (the same fix as isideload 0.4.5 / iLoader 2.3.7). (v2.6.5-3) - Sign-in no longer fails with
unknown variant EndProvisioningError. Public anisette servers are overloaded and often fail to set up a new device. Each server is now tried twice, then the next one, across five public servers. If all of them fail, you see the server's actual error. (v2.6.5-4)
New
- Sign in through your browser. Ask your agent to log you into Impactor and a sign-in page opens on your computer (
127.0.0.1). You type your Apple ID, password and 2FA code there, so the password never passes through the agent or the conversation. (v2.6.5-3) - Choose your own anisette server. Set
IMPACTOR_MCP_ANISETTE_URLto a server URL, or a comma-separated list to try in order, e.g. a self-hosted anisette-v3-server. (v2.6.5-4) - Updating works. Re-running the install command replaces the binary even while Claude is using it, and keeps your auto-refresh setting.
--no-auto-refresh/-NoAutoRefreshturns it off. (v2.6.5-3)

Known issues
- Signing in can take longer than before while it works through busy anisette servers.
- Apple rate-limits repeated logins. After several attempts in a row, it may reject even the correct password for a while, or report the account as locked. Make one attempt and wait a few minutes before retrying.
- This is a workaround until Impactor fixes it upstream. Apple may change things again.
