v10.0 SFTP Functionality
SFTP Functionality!
Yellow's Dialog Editor can now work over an SFTP connection!
SFTP is the Secure File Transfer Protocol, a protocol used to manage files over the internet.
Many 3rd party server hosts allow you to manage your server files using an SFTP client, and it shouldn't be too difficult to get an SFTP server running on a self-hosted server.
Yellow's dialog editor can now be used to edit dialogs directly on a server.
- Added SFTP functionality.
- Fixed bug where default export version was out of bounds, causing commands and faction options to not export
- Added "Can Start" to quest availability options
- Changed the "Recently Opened Environments" UI, adding a trash can icon to allow you to delete them.
- Minor tweaks to the bottom left notifications
- Added Undo/Redo buttons
- Renamed "Category Options" to "Editor Actions"
- Moved "Rescan Quest and Factions" into "Editor Actions" menu
- Dropped semver as it doesn't really apply to the project. Versions are now Major.Minor.
Some technical details
- The editor uses the SSH.NET library to add SFTP functionality.
- Files are locally downloaded to your computer, but are automatically uploaded to the server whenever you save/export your dialogs, and any changes to categories such as renaming/deleting/creating are then mirrored onto the SFTP server.
- You can at any time click "Resync Local Cache" to sync your local cache with the files on the SFTP server
IMPORTANT
The .exe must now be in the same directory that contains the data_Yellow-s Dialog Editor_x86_64 folder. Running the .exe without this folder being present will crash the editor upon trying to use any SFTP functions.
