QuotaMew v0.2.0 Beta 2

QuotaMew v0.2.0 Beta 2 introduces the new QuotaMew product name.

QuotaMew was previously known as QuotaPulse. This release updates the application, project structure, documentation, repository, and public branding while preserving the existing macOS application identity for compatibility with Beta 1 installations.

Highlights

• Renamed QuotaPulse to QuotaMew.
• Renamed the Xcode project, targets, schemes, Swift module, application entry point, and test module to the new product name.
• Updated user-facing application branding and documentation.
• Moved the public project and documentation to their new QuotaMew identities.
• Preserved the existing application identity and compatibility-critical identifiers to reduce disruption when upgrading from Beta 1.
• Continued using the existing cat branding under the new QuotaMew name.

Upgrade compatibility

Although the public product name has changed, this release intentionally preserves the existing macOS application identity used by Beta 1.

Compatibility-sensitive identifiers such as the production and development bundle identifiers remain unchanged for this release.

This helps preserve existing application preferences and other macOS-managed state when upgrading from QuotaPulse Beta 1 to QuotaMew Beta 2.

The retained identifiers are implementation details and do not represent the current public product name.

About Beta 1

v0.2.0-beta.1 was released under the previous QuotaPulse name and remains part of the project's release history.

Existing historical release notes, tags, and Beta 1 artifacts retain their original names for accuracy.

Distribution

QuotaMew v0.2.0 Beta 2 is distributed as a downloadable DMG.

The current beta is not signed or notarized with an Apple Developer ID. macOS may therefore require additional approval on first launch.

Only download QuotaMew from the official GitHub repository or the official QuotaMew website. Do not disable Gatekeeper or other system-wide macOS security protections.

Known limitations

• Requires macOS 14 or later.
• Apple silicon is validated; Intel Macs have not yet been validated.
• Codex integration relies on ChatGPT.app bundled runtime behavior that may change.
• Claude Code remains Experimental / Unverified.
• Developer ID signing and Apple notarization are not yet available.
• Automatic updates are not yet available.
• Official external Reset Intelligence feed ingestion is not yet available.
• Some compatibility-sensitive internal identifiers still retain the previous quotapulse namespace intentionally.

QuotaMew v0.2.0 Beta 2 正式導入新的 QuotaMew 產品名稱。

QuotaMew 原名為 QuotaPulse。此版本更新 App、專案結構、文件、Repository 與公開品牌名稱，同時保留既有 macOS 應用程式識別，以維持與 Beta 1 安裝版本的相容性。

重點內容

• 將 QuotaPulse 正式更名為 QuotaMew。

升級相容性

雖然公開產品名稱已經更改，但此次版本刻意保留 Beta 1 使用的既有 macOS 應用程式 identity。

Production 與 Development Bundle Identifier 等與相容性相關的識別，在此次版本中仍維持不變。

這有助於在 QuotaPulse Beta 1 升級至 QuotaMew Beta 2 時，保留既有 App 偏好設定與其他由 macOS 管理的狀態。

這些保留的識別屬於內部實作細節，不代表目前公開的產品名稱。

關於 Beta 1

v0.2.0-beta.1 是以先前的 QuotaPulse 名稱發布，並會繼續保留在專案的 Release 歷史中。

既有歷史 Release Notes、Tag 與 Beta 1 Artifact 會保留原始名稱，以維持歷史紀錄的正確性。

QuotaMew v0.2.0 Beta 2 透過 DMG 提供公開下載。

目前的 Beta 尚未使用 Apple Developer ID 完成簽署與公證，因此第一次開啟時 macOS 可能會要求額外核准。
