A polish release built on automated browser walkthroughs plus several rounds of hands-on feedback — lots of everyday interactions got smoother.

✨ New

  • Recolor tiles from the note list: right-click any note → "Tile color…" submenu, no need to open the tile
  • Smarter screenshots (Ctrl+Shift+S): when a note or tile has focus, the capture is inserted at your cursor; when another app has focus, it goes to the clipboard only. Every capture is also copied to the clipboard
  • Voice hotkeys follow your focus: recording starts in the main window if that's where you are, instead of always popping a tile; with no app focus, the previous recording tile is reused so one movie night doesn't scatter tiles everywhere
  • Click-to-type empty states: an empty tile shows a "click to start writing" hint, and clicking anywhere in an empty note list creates a note
  • "Uncategorized" section: always visible in the list — collapsible, and you can drag notes onto it to move them out of a group
  • Double-click a tile to edit: double-click anywhere on a tile in preview mode to start editing
  • Safer group deletion: notes in a deleted group go to the trash (30-day recovery) instead of being scattered

🐛 Fixed

  • Tile color picker popup had overlapping swatches; the trigger dot could become invisible against same-color backgrounds (now a palette icon)
  • Using bold/italic in a long document jumped the editor back to the top
  • Bold/italic/inline-code shortcuts now toggle: press again to remove the marker, and bold/italic no longer interfere with each other
  • Note list previews and titles no longer show raw Markdown symbols (#, **, …)
  • Split-view synced scrolling now works inside very long paragraphs (proportional mapping)
  • The app now always checks for updates once on launch, no longer gated by the 24-hour interval; the "download updates automatically" switch actually works (installing still asks for your confirmation)
  • Tiles opened by a voice hotkey were missing the recording indicator (red dot / level meter / timer)
  • Sliders and scrollbars incorrectly showed a text cursor
  • Trash items' confirm buttons no longer squeeze into the metadata line
  • Tile bottom bar re-laid out: action buttons grouped left, word count and save status on the right

  • v1.3.x users: launch the app and you'll be prompted to update, or download this installer and install right over
  • Your data is fully compatible — no migration needed
