INSTALLATION

  • Install ECTweaker library version 2 and above for python from https://pypi.org/project/ECTweaker/ by following instructions on properly setting it up!
  • Make sure secure boot is disabled.
  • run script OpenFreezeCenter-Lite.py with sudo like sudo python3 OpenFreezeCenter-Lite.py
  • There are 2 outcomes.
    • If the EC read/write is not enabled on your OS, the system will enable it and restart and follow up with the seconf point.
    • If the EC read/write is enabled on your OS, the script will generate config.py file, which contains the configuration for fan curves and their addresses.
  • DONE!

How to Retain the old auto and advanced config

  • Rename the old config.py file something else and run the script.
  • After the new config.py file is created, copy the auto speed and advanced speeds from old filer to the new file and delete the old file.
