I wonder how much trouble it is to make Nick a toggleable passive instead of an automatic attack when the conditions apply (or something similar to reaction, for example, Sneak Attack or Opportunity Attack).
The reason why I ask this is: sometimes (as happened to me right now in a recent playthrough) an enemy is about to die, and I'd prefer using the off-hand against another enemy as a Bonus Action than using the same attack on an already close to dying one (in other words: probably overkill).
