Flint 2 / MT6000 No connection or DCHP after flashing

Expected Behavior

Expecting to flash. after flashing completes and get white LED, expect win11 PC to get an IP address from router like 192.168.100.xxx, and to connect to router at 192.168.100.1

Current Behavior

• I am able to flash MT6000 to latest openWRT firmware with

  • openwrt-24.10.4-mediatek-filogic-glinet_gl-mt6000-squashfs-sysupgrade

• I then flash to openmtcp with

  • openmptcprouter-v0.63-6.12-r0+30806-070d8eb4d5-mediatek-filogic-glinet_gl-mt6000-squashfs-sysupgrade

• after sometime of blue led flashing, I get a white solid LED

• win11 cannot get IP. Setting static IP of 192.168.100.5 or 100.2 does not allow connection to router at 100.1

• static nor automatic DHCP seem to connect router

-PC connected to MT6000 LAN 2-5 not 2.5gbps WAN

Possible Solution

• Am I supposed to use "factory" firmware version to flash from openWRT, or the squashfs-sysupgrade, since it's already on openWRT?
• Should I use the old kernel version?
  • openmptcprouter-v0.63-6.6-r0+28627-0b392b925f-mediatek-filogic-glinet_gl-mt6000-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

WIN11, direct ethernet to Flint 2
Brande new, flashed to regular/latest openWRT
Can uboot recover to regular openWRT

@Ysurac I'm greatful to have your attention.

This device has 6 ports, 2 labeled WAN 4 labeled WAN. When setting up openWRT of coarse I'm connected via a LAN port, so I assumed it would be the same to connect and configure openmtcp.

Am I supposed to be connect the PC to a WAN port for the PC to get an IP from the openmtcp or LAN port? I thought I tried both to no success last night.

I'm used to the normal procedures of flashing to dd-wrt, openwrt etc. but I'm really stuck not being able to connect to the router after the openmtcp flash. (no ping, no IP, static IP on 100.x subnet not working).

Do you have a firmware version that's a known good starting point for the MT6000 to help resolve/troubleshoot?

I guess lack of sleep... operating slowly today.

My understanding:
"Use WAN1 port (there are 2 wan ports, so possibly wan1 or wan2) to connect to the router as a LAN client after flashing".
Assuming this understanding is correct, I'll try this and report back in 12-24hrs.

Just curious - Using the WAN for LAN is common for all routers or only this model?

Ok-
As @Ysurac stated, the first WAN port (on the end), has a functional DHCP server allowing you to connect and configure after flashing. (Or at a minimum, allows access @ 192.168.100.1 as expected - might need to set PC to static address if DHCP doesn't work).
