YUCLAW 7.0.1 — Evidence-First Financial AI · The Science Trust Layer for Financial AI

Financial AI normally gives you an answer. YUCLAW gives you the evidence, what that evidence can support, what it cannot support, and whether that conclusion survived time.

Changed in 7.0.1 — patch: public-QA corrections (software and data presentation; no methodology change)

  • Coverage: one shared artifact (/coverage.json) read by every surface, bound by as_of + sha256; a permanent same-metric consistency gate. The homepage-vs-Explorer differences came from renders taken from different generations of a moving artifact.
  • Evidence history: /why/{TICKER}.json now declares its 100-object collection a PREVIEW with typed metadata; the complete per-name history ships as /why/{TICKER}.history.json bound to one build by /why/history_manifest.json; the as-of recipe distinguishes INCOMPLETE, COMPLETE, COMPLETE_EMPTY and OUT_OF_RANGE and filters by recorded availability.
  • EvidenceBench: the scorer ships in the package (yuclaw evidencebench score … --items …, stdlib-only). Rubric v1 is reproduced exactly and its limitation is disclosed (a question echo scores 1.0 on accession-quoting items; v1 results do not measure groundedness; items and results byte-identical). Rubric v2 is a candidate structured-fact contract — not registered, no item set, no pooled leaderboard.
  • Excerpt quality: detector rules, a display finalizer and separate correction annotations (/evidence/excerpt_corrections.json) that keep the original excerpt and hash; 68 detector hits on 3,586 unique public objects were verified against primary documents (43 corrected display excerpts, 25 confirmed flags, 0 unverified). The forward extraction gate ships OFF.
  • Responsive tables: Explorer and Validation Lab tables scroll inside keyboard-focusable regions; a viewport gate checks every current public route at 390 px and 1440 px.
  • Content: obsolete product wording removed from current copy; Signal Review states its actual availability; freshness stamps are per artifact (the data-through date and the UTC build time of that artifact; the trading-day phrase appears only when true).

Evidence totals (public scoreboard at composition)

  • Replication attempts: primary unavailable, successful unavailable; registration PENDING; exact-release coverage BOUND
  • Witness reviews unavailable · audit-break attempts unavailable · refusals unavailable · challenges unavailable · document-use receipts 0 · pilots 0
  • Board timestamp 2026-09-15T02:16:37.507118Z; these are counts of records, not a quality or independence verdict

Activation status (every proposed activation)

  • real receipt program: INACTIVE — no reviewer appointed, no registration record adopted, the three-reproduction floor unadopted (D3)
  • nightly status delivery: INACTIVE — adapter and preview only; delivery not activated (D4-NIGHTLY-STATUS)
  • note-snapshot coordinator: INACTIVE — contract v3 stays live; coordinator not wired (D4-SNAPSHOT)
  • sentinel policy: INACTIVE — unchanged; proposal only (D4-SENTINEL)
  • Phase-C prospective protocol: INACTIVE — draft; unregistered; nothing runs (D4-PHASE-C)
  • Phase 6 / A2 designation of S: INACTIVE — candidate record only; not registered; N_eff not computed (D4-A2-S)
  • ETF class addendum: INACTIVE — proposed classification path; registered set untouched (D4-ETF-ADDENDUM)
  • U-ladder promotion / window: INACTIVE — fixture validation only; no admission, promotion or registered window (D4-U-LADDER-WINDOW)
  • Gate #15 human study: INACTIVE — kit ships; no study run; gate MANUAL_REVIEW
  • Phase-5 contribution anatomy: a READER of registered protocol lines and registered results; it is not a registered result and registers nothing

Release policy (recorded; the publisher refuses notes that do not match the record)

  • Allocation: decision D1-ACCEPT on allocation document V7-ALLOC-2026-09-15-P1 (sha256 0fe7384fd6bd89f4…)
  • Gate #15 (user comprehension test passes): NOT SATISFIED; released under the owner's explicit release-policy exception, recorded verbatim:

I, the owner, accept for the 7.0.1 release only an explicit release-policy exception for Gate #15. The requirement is NOT SATISFIED; the gate remains MANUAL_REVIEW. Disclose this exception verbatim in the release notes and release-state record. No human study is authorized or scheduled. Date 2026-09-15.
