ContextCanopy v1.0.2 — Corrective Learning
ContextCanopy v1.0.2 changes learning from append-only accumulation into active-rule maintenance. Learn now classifies add, no-op, correct, narrow, broaden, replace, merge, relocate, and retire transitions; project rules must reach the real injected instruction surface; Sync removes superseded projection text; and Doctor requires paired fresh-session proof that new behavior works and retired behavior exits. Public/private authority, privacy, permission, local-only, and private-remote boundaries are unchanged. Validation passed for the Vault compiler/lint/graph, 27 compiler tests, 24 MCP tests, 16 Skill packages, isolated full-Vault stdio smoke, package dry run, npm audit, mirror equality, and fresh behavior probes.
ContextCanopy v1.0.1 — Portable Core
Bootstrap hotfix
v1.0.1 is the current stable release. It corrects the private-template bootstrap command so it is directly copyable from the rendered README, refreshes the official GitHub Actions runtimes, and aligns repository, MCP, lockfile, and plugin version metadata.
The portable-core behavior remains the same: the full Vault compiler/linter, 24 MCP tests, two-process Claude-to-Codex handoff smoke, package inspection, and dependency audit all pass at the declared Node.js 18 and Python 3.10 minimums.
v1.0.0 remains available as immutable release history but is superseded for onboarding by this patch.

Changelog
All notable changes to ContextCanopy are documented here.
1.0.0 - 2026-08-15
Portable Core
- User-owned, Obsidian-compatible Markdown authority with an immutable evidence layer.
- Eight Agent Skills for capture, attachment, synchronization, learning, distillation, long-term direction, diagnosis, and help.
- Nine allowlisted MCP tools for knowledge, personal-AI authority, and Skill discovery.
- Separate common user rules and Claude, Codex, AntiGravity, and Hermes role contracts.
- Atomic canonical ownership, provenance, freshness, graph integrity, deterministic derived views, and transactional rollback.
- Reproducible two-process Claude → ContextCanopy → Codex migration smoke with compiler and live-byte guards.
- Private-first and local-only bootstrap instructions that prevent the public template from becoming a personal writable remote.
Honest boundaries
- Provider-native Memory is not universally importable; accessible exports and selected sources use guided, evidence-preserving migration.
- Every real Agent host still requires a fresh-session attachment check.
- The
context-canopy-mcppackage ships as repository source and a GitHub Release artifact; v1.0.0 does not claim npm publication. - ContextCanopy stores plaintext files and relies on private remotes, filesystem permissions, encrypted backups, and secret hygiene for confidentiality.
