WatchBridge TV 1.8.8
WatchBridge TV 1.8.8
Fix: Mi TV / Xiaomi and other TVs with the classic Android TV launcher
- Clicking a recommendation card on these launchers now opens it in your player app. On this launcher the card title arrives in a different place than on Google TV, so the click was seen but not recognized.

Fix: Italian "Scelti per te" row
- Recommendations in the top row of Google TV in Italian ("Scelti per te") now open in your player app. The row header was not recognized in Italian and was being read as a movie title. Other languages are unchanged.

IPTV favorites shared with your phone
- Favorite channels are now synced between WatchBridge TV and WatchBridge Mobile (1.3.4 or newer) when both use the same email and the same list (same M3U link, or same Xtream server and user). They are checked each time you open IPTV, so a favorite added or removed on one device shows up on the other.
- Only a hash of the list and the channel names are sent to the server, never your link or password. Lists loaded from a local file are not synced.

Record from your phone
- With the latest WatchBridge Mobile (1.1.7) you can browse the IPTV guide on your phone and tell your TV to record a programme, or to record a channel right now (30 minutes, 1, 2 or 3 hours). The TV picks the order up as soon as it is on and schedules it with its own recorder. If the TV is off, the order waits until it is turned on.
- The same order sent twice does not create two recordings.

IPTV recording
- Record programs from the guide: open a program in the guide and choose Record. It starts a minute before and ends a few minutes after, so you do not miss the start or the end.
- Record now: press the red button (or REC) in fullscreen to record the channel you are watching, and pick how long. Press it again to stop. A hint with a red dot shows it in the fullscreen info panel.
- Recordings screen (IPTV menu, "Recordings"): see what is recording, what is scheduled and what is finished, play it with seeking, cancel or delete.
- Choose where to save: Settings > "Save recordings to". Automatic uses a USB drive when one is connected, otherwise the TV's storage. No extra permission is needed.
- Note: a scheduled recording only starts if the TV is on at that time. Many TVs do not wake up for apps while in standby.
WatchBridge TV 1.8.2
WatchBridge TV 1.8.2
IPTV
- Channels sent from your phone: with the latest WatchBridge Mobile (1.1.6) you can send an IPTV channel to your TV. If the TV does not have that exact address in its list, it now finds the channel by name, and tells you when it is not in the list instead of doing nothing.
- Sending a second channel no longer fails. If the IPTV screen was already open, sending another channel (or tapping "Watch" on a program alert) opened a second screen with its own player, and devices that can only decode one MPEG-2 stream at a time showed "can't play". Now the same player switches to the new channel.
Sports events
- Pressing UP from the first row now goes to the buttons in the header.
v1.8.1
WatchBridge TV 1.8.1
IPTV
- Smoother full screen: the video now grows and shrinks between the mini player and full screen without redrawing the whole screen, and the brief black flash when entering full screen is gone.
- After watching a sports event in full screen, the channel list is already positioned on that channel when you go back, with the selector on it.
- Faster logos: channel logos and team badges are now cached on the device, so the Sports events screen loads quicker after the first time.
Sports events
- Events that have finished disappear from the list (by the guide's end time, or when the live score source reports the match as over), and the list refreshes every minute without moving your focus.
- National-team matches (e.g. the FIBA World Cup) now show the countries' flags in the mini player panel and in full screen, even on channels that were showing only the guide text.
- Live score, minute, goals and cards refresh every ~10 seconds and now work for more matches and sports.
v1.8.0
WatchBridge TV 1.8.0
New: Sports events (IPTV)
- A new Sports events tab next to Channels / Movies / Series, for any list with a TV guide. It finds every sport your channels are broadcasting — football, basketball, NFL, Formula 1, MotoGP, tennis, golf, cycling, combat sports and more — for what is live now and the next 3 hours.
- Cards with start time, competition, a LIVE tag, the channel(s) and team badges (national teams show flags). Filter by sport or show only what is live now.
- Click an event to watch it, straight in full screen. Hold OK on an event that has not started yet to schedule an alert.
Live matches
- Live score, minute, goals and cards now come from a better source and refresh every ~10 s, in the mini player panel and in full screen (Up).
- Faster, smoother start when opening a channel, and no more play/pause buttons popping up on the player.
Full screen
- Change the audio track of a channel: press OK to see the info card, then OK again (or the Menu / Audio key on your remote). Shown only when the channel has more than one audio track.
v1.7.2
WatchBridge TV 1.7.2
IPTV
- New clock at the top right of the IPTV screen, with the list and with the mini player. In full screen it only shows together with the channel info card (OK) and the channel list (Down), and disappears with them. It follows the system 12/24-hour setting.
- The channel info card now shows the time of the current program and what comes next.
- The channel list (Down in full screen) shows, for every channel, the time of what is on now and the next program.
v1.7.1
WatchBridge TV 1.7.1
Voice search
- Fixed titles being read wrongly when you open a movie or show with Google voice search on some TVs (for example reading "3 ways to watch" or "Play 77%" instead of the title). The app now picks the title by its text size instead of a fixed area of the screen, so it also works with other resolutions and launcher versions, and joins titles that wrap onto two lines.
