PARAPET v1.0

PARAPET v1.0 establishes the public technical baseline for the PARAPET platform and the PESOSE Track 1 work.

Highlights

• Integrates six founding research artifacts with explicit provenance and project-level roles.
• Adds automated functional, runtime, repository-integrity, licensing, versioning, and website validation.
• Adds GitHub Actions continuous integration for pull requests and pushes to main.
• Gates GitHub Pages deployment on successful website validation.
• Establishes PARAPET version 1.0 with a repository-level version source of truth.
• Aligns PARAPET-owned content with Apache License 2.0 while preserving the licenses of nested third-party components.
• Adds contributor guidance, changelog, third-party notices, and release documentation.
• Hardens PerfOrch runtime execution so Python and profiling commands work correctly when repository or interpreter paths contain spaces.

Validation

PARAPET v1.0 is validated through automated GitHub Actions covering:

• component functional and Python runtime checks;
• Java/JVM end-to-end smoke tests;
• repository, provenance, licensing, versioning, workflow, and website checks.

The v1.0 release validation workflow completed successfully before publication.

Scope

PARAPET v1.0 serves as the public integration baseline for the platform. It brings together the founding component stack, currently executable component-level capabilities, automated validation, CI/CD, provenance, licensing, and the public website.

The PESOSE Track 1 work builds on this baseline by further integrating and hardening these capabilities into a maintainer-facing exposure-to-decision workflow and by adding repository integration, pull-request integration, governance, and ecosystem mechanisms.
