This release gives the on-screen touch controls a new look.

• Touch controls (Issue #8): the built-in controls used to be plain squares labelled in a debug font.

  • Buttons are now round, with a rim and their letter in the menu's pixel font.
  • The d-pad has a round base, a cross and an arrow for each direction.
  • What you hold lights up.

  Both layouts (CLASSIC and SONIC CD) use the new look, and TOUCH OPACITY and PRESSED OPACITY still apply. Images in Mods/Touch still replace the drawn controls.

Thanks to @datadrivezz for the suggestion.

Validation:

• Windows: the unit tests (213) and the startup tests pass.
• Linux: all 40 Linux CTest cases pass.
• Packages: the packaged Windows and Linux builds pass the startup tests. Both layouts were checked in screenshots.
• Android: the APKs have not been tested on a device for this release.

Downloads: the Windows x64 zip, the Linux x64 tar.gz, and two Android APKs: arm64-v8a/x86_64 (the usual one) and armeabi-v7a (32-bit ARM). Both APKs use version code 24 and the same signing certificate as 0.5.0, so they update in place.

You must supply your own Knuckles' Chaotix (Japan, USA) ROM. No ROM image or game assets are included.
