Added

• OpenRouter settings let you choose which providers answer: privacy first
  (only providers that keep nothing) or cheapest first.
• A 60 second trailer of the demo (demo.trailer.mp4,
  scripts/record.sh --trailer). The demo and the trailer open and close on
  a title card with the app icon.

Changed

• The OpenRouter model list only offers models that can look at pictures, so
  Design mode works with each of them. DeepSeek V4 Pro and GLM 5.3 are gone.
• Shorter screens: the descriptions under the start screen, the chat
  overview, the advanced settings, the connect screen and the Assistant and
  Privacy settings are gone.
• The Pages and files tab of the chat overview has Undo and Undo all changes
  as icons, a "Remove all from chat" button above the list and a remove button
  next to each page and file.
• In the Privacy settings a note that your organisation requires hiding sits
  with the switches it locks, and the glossary has its own section.
• A file that cannot be attached says so in a few words: its type is not
  supported, or it could not be read.
• zsuite: zsuite-agent, tauri-plugin-zsuite-assistant and
  @zsuite/assistant 0.2.0.

Fixed

• One file that cannot be attached no longer keeps the other files you picked
  with it out of the chat, and leaves no copy behind that broke the Pages and
  files tab.
• Two attached files with the same name no longer break the list above the
  message box.
• The assistant panel no longer flashes a red "no knowledge file" warning
  while the app starts.

Added

• Each chat has a mode below the message box. Review answers only in the
  chat and changes no page. Generate creates or edits pages; only here do
  you choose the notebook and template for new pages, and both can be cleared
  back to the default. Design works on how pages look: the assistant may
  change pages and can look at a picture of any page or slide in the chat,
  drawn from the hidden text (names stay hidden, every image is a grey box),
  and looks again after a change to check that everything fits.
• A chat overview, behind the eye in the panel's top bar. Sent lists, per
  message, everything that went to the assistant: the message, the pages and
  files it read and the pictures of pages. Pages and files shows each one
  the way the assistant sees it, where you choose how much is hidden, undo
  your choices or remove a file from the chat. The eye under a message opens
  the overview at that message.
• A save button next to the file buttons, with Ctrl+S, and a spinner while the
  .znote is being saved.

Changed

• The assistant panel remembers which notebook new pages go in.
• "What the assistant sees" is now the Pages and files tab of the chat
  overview. It has Undo and Undo all changes for hidden words and the hiding
  level, which is chosen with buttons instead of a slider.
• The assistant, hiding and export code moved to the vendor/zsuite
  submodule, so other apps can use it: the assistant panel and privacy views
  (@zsuite/assistant), and the crates zsuite-veil (hiding),
  zsuite-finder (name finder), zsuite-sealed (encrypted store and search),
  zsuite-agent (providers and Claude Code), zsuite-typst (the compiler and
  exports) and tauri-plugin-zsuite-assistant. znote passes in its glossary,
  policy and model choice. The language files and detection.json now live in
  vendor/zsuite/crates/zsuite-veil/resources/. CI also formats, lints and
  tests the zsuite workspace.

Fixed

• Word export keeps the layout of designed templates: a grid becomes a table
  without lines, a filled box keeps its colour and coloured side, lines and
  small marks (a dash under a heading) stay, and two tables in a row are no
  longer merged into one.
• Attaching the same file to a chat again no longer adds a second copy.
• An attached file showed a level the policy did not allow, so you could not
  go back to it. It now shows the level it really has.
• A policy that makes hiding, the name finder or amounts mandatory now holds
  before the user has chosen anything, not only after.
• The name finder misses fewer names and mixes up people, companies and places
  less often. It no longer asks for the glossary's categories ("customer",
  "supplier"), which made it call companies by a kind that is hidden only at
  the strict level. In a test with 70 names, the names left visible at the
  medium level went from 20 to 3.
• A capitalised word that only opens a sentence or a bullet, or sits in a
  heading, is no longer taken for a name (on a slide deck: from about 55 hidden
  ordinary words to none), and ordinary words hidden earlier stop spreading to
  other pages.

Added

• The assistant sees the compile errors on a page it wrote, as the editor shows
  them, and fixes them. OpenRouter and self-hosted models get them with each
  edit and with each page they read; Claude Code is told the errors already on
  the chat's pages and is sent back to a page it broke, at most twice. With
  hiding on, the text Typst quotes from the page is left out of each error and
  the line it is on is shown from the hidden page instead.
• A .znote file is encrypted with a password chosen when it is made, and
  holds the assistant chats with their attached files. znote asks for the
  password once per computer and keeps it in the computer's password store.
• src-tauri/resources/policy.json lets a company that ships its own znote
  make hiding, the name finder and amounts mandatory, set a lowest hiding
  level, block the web tools and limit the assistants. See
  docs/privacy-policy.md.
• Language rules (words that are never a name, endings such as "Acmes" and
  "Rotterdamse", scale words) are one JSON file per language, with a schema.
  Dutch and English are built in.
• "Show what this message would send" before a message is sent, and the
  assistant's instructions in the view of what was sent.
• OpenRouter is asked to use only providers that do not store or train on what
  is sent.
• Export to Word (.docx) that looks like the page: fonts, colours, spacing,
  table colours, header and footer (with page numbers) come from the laid-out
  page, while the text flows like any Word document with Word's own headings,
  lists, tables, pictures, links, footnotes and equations. Designed pages such
  as a cover are copied as they are. TrueType fonts travel inside the file.
• In PowerPoint exports, images are pictures of their own that can be replaced
  or moved, and formulas are equations that can be edited.

Changed

• Looks and templates are separate now. A look (colours, logo, interface font)
  is a .zth file and templates are a .znx file. The Marketplace lists them
  as Looks and Templates, and Import takes either file. A .znx with a look in
  it is refused.
• The interface components come from @zsuite/ui, shared with other apps in
  the vendor/zsuite submodule. Clone with --recurse-submodules.

Fixed

• With names hidden, the assistant no longer sees the real names of projects,
  notebooks and pages, or the add-on templates in its instructions.
• A name hidden after a chat started is hidden in that chat's copy of the pages
  too.
• Long paragraphs are searched for names to their end, not only the first 200
  words.
• Hiding no longer turns itself off when its settings have not loaded yet or the
  name finder failed to load; the assistant says so and stops instead.
• The assistant can no longer find out a hidden name by searching or editing
  with guesses at it, and text is cut only after it is hidden.
• A knowledge file with database triggers or views is refused.
• The assistant's working folder no longer holds a file with the real page
  names.
• Hiding is decided in Rust from what the user asked for. When it cannot run
  (no knowledge file, a locked one, or a name finder that is not downloaded)
  nothing is sent and the chat says why. Page levels count as strict until they
  are known.
• Names written with Typst's ~, a soft hyphen, a zero-width space, a
  decomposed accent or a PDF ligature are hidden like any other spelling.
• An attached file whose hiding level cannot be read is hidden at the strictest
  level.
• The assistant can rename or delete only pages the chat was given.
• A custom server address uses plain http:// only on this computer or the
  local network.
• A page or file that makes the Typst renderer or the PDF reader fail no longer
  closes znote.
• A damaged working-copy record keeps the unsaved notes instead of clearing
  them.

Removed

• The MSIX package. znote is released only as the packages on the GitHub
  release page and the download page, not in the Microsoft Store.
