SnapBoard 0.1.3 — Identity Update & Windows Build Introduction (Alpha)

This early alpha release brings SnapBoard closer to the visual identity of SnapDock, introduces the first Windows installer, and lays the groundwork for stabilising the core kanban experience. It’s a small but meaningful step toward a cohesive ecosystem.

🎨 New Visual Identity

SnapBoard Logo

SnapBoard now has its own dedicated icon, designed to sit naturally alongside SnapDock while expressing its kanban‑focused purpose.

  • New teal gradient background
  • Board‑frame silhouette with column guides
  • Floating card element for motion and clarity
  • Full icon pipeline added for Linux and Windows builds

This marks the first step in establishing SnapBoard’s long‑term visual identity.

🪟 Windows Build Added

SnapBoard now ships with a Windows installer (NSIS), bringing it in line with SnapDock’s cross‑platform support.

  • First Windows .exe installer
  • Proper icon embedding
  • Consistent build pipeline for Linux + Windows
  • CI workflow updated to automate multi‑platform builds

This makes SnapBoard easier to install, test, and iterate on across environments.

🧱 Under the Hood

  • Updated build pipeline to support AppImage, Deb, and NSIS
  • Improved asset structure for icons and platform packaging
  • Early groundwork for future SnapDock ↔ SnapBoard integration

These changes help stabilise the project as it moves toward its first usable milestone.

🔮 What’s Next

The next few releases will focus on:

  • Stabilising core board interactions
  • Improving drag‑and‑drop behaviour
  • Introducing the first SnapDock integration points
  • Refining the UI to match the ecosystem’s premium feel

SnapBoard is still early, but each release brings it closer to a reliable companion to SnapDock.
