Zaparoo Core v2.21.0 is mostly about playlists. A playlist now moves to the next item when a video ends or you quit a game. It can also switch games on a timer, so **launch.random:Arcade?advance=15m rolls a new random arcade game every 15 minutes, or wait until nobody has touched the controls and run a cabinet's attract mode between players. Playlists also remember where you left them, separately for each profile and across restarts, and audio tracks of 10 minutes or more resume where they stopped.
A new driver supports USB smart card NFC readers. The ACR122U works without config on MiSTer and Linux and can now write tags on Windows, and the ACR1552U and Feitian bR500 work the same way. Save state, load state, menu, and reset controls arrive on MiSTer, Batocera, and RePlayOS, including for games started from the system's own menu. On MiSTer, computer cores like the C64, Spectrum, and BBC Micro load and run the game for you, and every platform gets game details from a built-in copy of GameDataBase.
Update the media database after installing. On Linux and SteamOS, reinstall hardware support to use a smart card reader, as described in the release notes.
