🧹 Fix empty catch blocks in Program.cs - #10
Conversation
Modified Application_ThreadException and CurrentDomain_UnhandledException to catch exceptions during ReportException and show a MessageBox with the error. This prevents exceptions from being silently swallowed during crash reporting. Co-authored-by: manupawickramasinghe <73810867+manupawickramasinghe@users.noreply.github.com>

🎯 What: Modified empty
catchblocks inProgram.cs's exception handlers (Application_ThreadExceptionandCurrentDomain_UnhandledException) to properly catch exceptions and display them using aMessageBox.💡 Why: Empty catch blocks hide errors and make debugging difficult. In this case, an exception thrown during
ReportException(which attempts to create a CrashForm and send an HTTP request) would be totally ignored, leading to a silent failure.✅ Verification: Reviewed the code to ensure the
finallyblocks containingApplication.Exit()andEnvironment.Exit(0)still execute, preserving the original application shutdown behavior while improving error visibility.✨ Result: If the crash reporting system fails, the user will now see a MessageBox with the failure details instead of a silent exit, improving debugging and maintainability.
