v0.8.1
What's fixed
Finished task notes stay on a Custom status board. On the Kanban board grouped by a status field (field:status), a task note with status: done disappeared, even when done is one of your kanban_statuses columns: a task note's status: both closes it and names its column. It now stays in that column, as it does in the desktop app since 2.71.0 (ZenNotes/zennotes#949). Only configured columns hold finished notes, so a vault full of finished notes does not grow a column for each, and checked checkbox tasks still leave the board. A configured cancelled column holds cancelled task notes the same way.
zn mcp gives assistants the desktop app's instructions again. The built-in instructions had fallen behind the desktop's. They now cover D2 diagrams, the rule that Mermaid labels are plain text with <br> breaks, collapsible callouts (> [!type]- starts collapsed), and how to review a note through its comment threads with list_comments, add_comment, reply_to_comment and resolve_comment. An assistant now gets the same guidance whichever binary serves the vault. Instructions you wrote yourself in the desktop app's Settings → MCP still take precedence.
