when i wanted to move a file to trash and created the error "top-level folder must be inbox or archive" en pressing enter i can't type anything anymore

Thanks @BobBobimans — reproduced it: :mv trash is rejected (trash isn't a valid move target — only inbox/archive), and the error was shown with a native window.alert. In the Electron app that blocking dialog blurs the editor, and after you press Enter/OK the editor never got focus back — so in Vim mode you couldn't type anymore.

Fix (680032f, shipping in 2.4.0): ex-command errors (:mv/:move, :e/:edit, :new) now show as a non-blocking message at the bottom of the editor — the same red notification you already see for an unknown command like :notacommand — instead of a blocking OS dialog. The editor keeps focus, so typing keeps working.

(Side note: to actually send a note to trash, use the trash action / Move to Trash rather than :mv — that command only moves between inbox/archive folders.)

Closing as fixed — reopen if you still get stuck after an ex-command error.
