Gray completed task style is not applied

Description

The gray styling for completed tasks is not applied when selected in Settings -> Editor -> Completed task style.

The Strikethrough option works as expected but any option that relies on the gray styling does not.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open Settings -> Editor.
2. Set Completed task style to Gray.
3. Mark a task as completed.
4. Repeat the test with Completed task style set to Both.

Expected Behaviour

• Gray should render completed tasks in gray.
• Both should render completed tasks in gray and apply a strikethrough.

Actual Behaviour

• With Gray selected, completed tasks are not grayed out.
• With Both selected, only the strikethrough is applied; the gray styling is not.
• The Strikethrough option behaves as expected.

Additional Notes

The issue appears to affect only the gray styling. Since Strikethrough works correctly, the setting itself is being applied, but the gray component has no visible effect.

Thanks, @uNyanda. Good catch that it was specifically the gray component.

Fixed in 44ad651 (on the v2.14.0 branch).

Root cause: the gray style set the text color only on the task's outer span, but in the live-preview editor CodeMirror nests the task text inside a syntax-highlighted token span that carries its own color, and a child's own color wins over the parent's. Strikethrough survived because that decoration draws across descendants; color doesn't cascade the same way. (The reading view was unaffected because its text is plain and inherits the gray.)

The gray now also targets those nested spans, so Gray grays the completed task and Both grays and strikes it.

I verified live by reading the computed color of the completed task's text (and its inner span) across all four settings: None, Strikethrough, Gray (now gray), and Both (now gray + strikethrough).

Ships in the next release (2.14.0). Closing as resolved.
