Version 1.1.46, versionCode 49, October 23, 2026, following 1.1.45 (48). PR #132 carries 396b2a1; the signed bundle zennotes-1.1.46-vc49.aab (37,989,057 bytes, SHA-256 ad61b11eda838dde799bd04c3dd4095f1c350cd84f7fbfcb0ce4c33cd2ceea71) was built from that commit, whose tree 475d94c equals that of tag v1.1.46 (3609c83, the merge of #132).

What changes on the phone

  • Choose any due date from a task's menu (ZenNotes/zennotes#991). Long-press a task and pick Choose a date… under the due-date presets: a month calendar opens on the task's due date (today without one), and a tap on a day sets it.
  • No due date has its own place (ZenNotes/zennotes#990). A task without a due date now waits under No due date, after Upcoming, instead of in Today; the task board has the same column, and dropping a card there clears its date.
  • Order the Tasks list by priority (ZenNotes/zennotes#989). An Order menu above the list puts high priority first inside each date group; Note order brings back your notes' line order.
  • Cloud conflicts settle cleanly, and none removes a note this phone kept. A phone whose sync had been stuck came back to conflicts it could not settle: keeping the other device's version said the file already existed, a second conflict refused both choices, and one choice could delete the note the phone kept, on both devices. The other device's version now takes its place, moving a file of this phone in its way to the next free name (Untitled 2.md and on), and core 2.76.0 settles a conflict that met this phone's file once Cloud has moved that note on. Reported on Discord by Dave.
  • Sheets and buttons stay clear of the navigation bar. On phones whose WebView updated to 140 or newer, the page draws under the system bars, and Review sync changes put its last line and its Save / Go back buttons under the 3-button navigation bar (Dave's report). Dialog sheets now shrink their scroller to fit and scroll with the inset at the end; palettes, Settings, side panels, the drawer and toasts clear the side insets in landscape too.

Under the hood

Core core-2.76.0-core.h076cc71aa1ce0bbe was built by CI from ZenNotes/zennotes 61628218 (the v2.76.0 release commit, run 40029130459); core:adopt checked SHA-256, SHA-512, packed versions and clean-source provenance. No new bridge method or long-press entry; the bridge contract adds tasksListOrder to the portable preferences. The staged Cloud resolve now asks core's cloudSyncFreePath for the next free name instead of the copy it carried until this core.

Two problems in the new core's views were found while preparing this release and fixed in this shell's CSS: the Tasks list's new Order row stretched to a third of the screen (the select-row rule gave it flex: 1 inside a column; 852caec), and the date calendar showed desktop keyboard help (396b2a1).

Source: branch release/1.1.46 from main 65fda06: merges of fix/cloud-conflict-room (9cbe6a8) and fix/system-bar-insets (a56be5f), then 0149dfe (core 2.76.0), d64273e (1.1.46, versionCode 49), 852caec and 396b2a1.

Validation

  • npm run typecheck, 312 JavaScript tests (two new layout contracts), npm run build and npx cap sync android passed; bundleRelease was signed with the upload key on JDK 21, and the bundle reads md.zennotes 49 / 1.1.46, min 24, target 36, with the same three permissions as 1.1.45.
  • CI on #132 (run 40032698758): the build job and the emulator launch job passed on 396b2a1.
  • On a throwaway API 37 emulator (WebView 145) at 360x800 with 3-button navigation, the debug build of this release: the Tasks list's Order row is 53 px with the list right under it; the task menu's Choose a date… opens the calendar without keyboard help, Today on the right; and Dave's Review sync changes confirm step, rendered from core 2.76.0's own dialog, puts Saving… and Go back at 723 px with the bar from 752, both landscape rotations clear.

Play Console submission

1.1.45 (48) was live. Production, Create new release: the AAB was dropped in by Adib and processed as 49 (1.1.46): API 24+, target SDK 36; no devices lost or added (12,413 phones, 6,816 tablets); 3.46 MB update; only the usual "no deobfuscation file" warning. Release notes inside <en-US> tags, rollout 100%, saved, and sent for review on October 23 (CDT). Managed publishing is off, so Google publishes it on approval.

PR #132 merged as 3609c83 (merge tree equals 475d94c, the tree of 396b2a1); lightweight tag v1.1.46. This release carries Play's signed universal APK from App bundle explorer as zennotes-1.1.46-universal.apk: 38,233,331 bytes, SHA-256 6a24a48695f6bf62862faf262d6ee73fcfb2328064c40c449a37fad6b3e91452, md.zennotes 49 / 1.1.46, min 24 / target 36, signer 9f1af3a4… as since 1.1.22, the same three permissions as 1.1.45, no CHECK_LICENSE or pairip.

How to test locally

  1. npm ci && npm run build && npx cap sync android, then open android/ in Android Studio and run on a device or emulator.
  2. Tap the circle, then Task, and add a task. Open Tasks (circle, Browse, Tasks): it is listed under No due date. Before: under Today.
  3. Long-press it and pick Choose a date…, then tap a later day: the task moves under Upcoming with that date.
  4. Set the Order menu above the list to Priority: high-priority tasks come first in each group, and the row stays one line tall.
  5. With 3-button navigation on a phone whose Android System WebView is 140 or newer, open Review sync changes on a Cloud conflict (or any long sheet): its last line and buttons stay above the bar.
