@github-actions github-actions released this 20 Oct 15:45

Self-hosted ZenNotes server 2.73.0 with the pinned browser artifact web-2.73.0-web.ha47e875be648958c (built from ZenNotes/zennotes 10597fe9, the v2.73.0 release commit).

What changed for self-hosters:

  • The browser app can hide its title bar. Settings → Appearance → Chrome has a Title bar switch in the browser app now: turned off, the bar with the open note's title goes away and the workspace starts at the top of the page. The choice is kept per browser (reported on Discord by SLP, who runs the server in Docker).
  • Settings fits a narrow window or a tablet: text fields, choices, font pickers, sliders and the Keymap rows move the control under the label when there is no room beside it, instead of squeezing the label into single words.
  • Vim's o and O keep a quote or callout going (ZenNotes/zennotes#961): on a quoted line they open the new line with the same quote and list marker Enter gives.

The desktop-only items of 2.73.0 (moving the window by the tab strip with the title bar off, and the bundled zn 0.9.1) do not apply to the browser app. The server's Go code is unchanged since 2.72.0, and no Go dependency moved, so vendorHash stays.

Verification before publication: prepare-web installed the artifact archive into a clean web/dist and verified every file (580); go vet, go test ./... and go test -tags=embed_web ./... pass; a server built like the release, with a scratch config and vault, reported v2.73.0, served the app and answered 401 without the token. CI passed on #38 (10 of 10). Every released binary matches SHA256SUMS, and the manifest asset is the committed pin byte for byte; with a scratch config and vault, the released darwin-arm64 binary reported v2.73.0, served the app, answered 401 without the token, listed the vault's task, and served a bundle carrying the 2.73.0 browser app.

Docker: adibhanna/zennotes:2.73.0, 2.73 and latest are published from this tag by the repository's Docker publisher (linux/amd64 and linux/arm64, one digest).
