Workspace Atlas v2.0.0 is the first public, source-first release of the local project context compiler for coding agents.

Highlights:

  • Persistent, generation-bound project truth with fail-closed stale and error behavior.
  • Progressive DIRECT, ATLAS_LIGHT, and ATLAS_DEEP context acquisition.
  • Local atlas CLI and stdio atlas-mcp adapter with existing V1 compatibility preserved.
  • Provider-neutral semantic evidence and explicit security, privacy, retention, and lifecycle boundaries.

Install from source:

cd Workspace-Atlas
cargo build --release --locked

This release was verified by 27 cross-platform quality and distribution jobs across Windows, macOS, and Ubuntu on Rust 1.94.1 and stable. No prebuilt binaries are provided. The retained capacity benchmark campaign is post-v2 qualification; this release makes no performance, capacity, or service-level guarantee.
