Yeyi 雅译 0.7.1 — the graduation release: select-to-translate, AI page summary, and the new Streaming Follow-Translate leave Labs as official features, and infinite-feed pages like X/Twitter get follow-along translation.

What's new

• Streaming Follow-Translate. On infinite-feed pages like X/Twitter, new content is translated automatically as you scroll — no re-clicking. It idles down to save quota when scrolling stops, and retries on its own when rate-limited.
• While active, the floating ball turns into a translucent, pulsing, colorful pixel heart 💗 beating at 60 bpm (human resting heart rate).
• The floating-ball menu now has a "Streaming Follow-Translate" toggle, so you can switch it on/off right on the page.
• Built-in site rule for X (x.com): skips the right-rail recommendations and keeps very short tweets translatable.
• Select-to-translate and AI page summary graduate from Labs to official features (off by default; select-to-translate stays on by default). New "Reading aids" section in settings.
• Settings reorganized: Streaming Follow-Translate lives under "Translation preferences"; search-box Chinese-to-English and the new-tab enhancement remain in Labs.
• Stability improvements: the heart keeps pulsing reliably on busy pages, retries stop after a while instead of burning quota forever, and the in-menu toggle now works even with fast clicks.

Yeyi 雅译 0.6.0 — the coverage-and-usability release. Native JavaScript, Manifest V3, no build step, no dependencies. Bring your own OpenAI-compatible key.

What's new since 0.4.0

• Translates inside iframes and open Shadow DOM. The single biggest fix for "whole sections never translate" — reader pages, embedded docs, and web-component sites are now covered.
• Select-to-translate. Highlight any text → a 译 bubble appears → one click shows the translation in your chosen style, ready to copy.
• Per-site rules. Include / exclude / force-block / force-inline selectors, min-length gates, and injected CSS — with built-in rules (Wikipedia, Shopee) and a custom-JSON box in settings.
• Drop-cap handling so a large floating first letter no longer splits the opening paragraph.
• Context refinement, smarter. Only re-refines paragraphs that already have a translation, and starts from what's on screen — less waste, faster.
• Settings apply instantly (search-assist and bilingual style no longer need a page reload).
• Faster defaults: concurrency 4, 40s timeout, all provider presets raised to 8000 max tokens.

Yeyi 雅译 0.4.0 (preview) — an open-source AI webpage-translation extension for Chrome (native JS, Manifest V3, no build step, no dependencies).

This is a preview release: usable, but expect rough edges.

Highlights

• Native Chrome-style UI across popup / options / new tab; the new-tab page recreates the native Google search capsule (voice, Lens), the colored Google logo, and top-sites tiles.
• A search box that translates — type Chinese, get an English query suggestion (experimental, opt-in).
• Six translation styles — 信达雅 (Xin-Da-Ya) signature default, plus precise / natural / technical / business / literary.
• Text-node clustering engine that fully collects deeply nested div/span content without duplicate blocks.
• Bilingual by default, on-demand context refinement, and bring-your-own OpenAI-compatible key (the key never leaves chrome.storage.local).
