GuildForge v1.0.0 — first release

Copy a Discord server's structure (roles, channels, permissions, settings) to your own server with one command.

Features

  • clone, export, import, and list commands, plus an arrow-key menu when you start the executable with no arguments.
  • Three source modes: a server ID (the bot is a member), a Discord template link/code (the bot only needs to be in the target), or a JSON backup file.
  • Copies server settings, roles, categories, text/voice/announcement/stage/forum/media channels, and role permission overwrites. Emojis and stickers are opt-in with --emojis.
  • --dry-run prints the full plan without writing anything. --clear-target resets the target first and asks you to type the server name.
  • Resume support: progress is saved after every item, so an interrupted run continues instead of duplicating.
  • Checks Discord's limits (250 roles, 500 channels, 50 channels per category, emoji/sticker slots) and retries rate-limited requests with backoff.
  • Clear warnings and safe fallbacks when the target lacks Community, boost features, permissions, or emoji slots.

How to run

  1. Download GuildForge.exe below.

  2. Put it in a writable folder and create a .env file with DISCORD_TOKEN=your-bot-token, or let GuildForge ask for the token with hidden input.

  3. Open a terminal in that folder:

    .\GuildForge.exe clone --source <SOURCE_ID> --target <TARGET_ID> --dry-run
    .\GuildForge.exe clone --source <SOURCE_ID> --target <TARGET_ID>

Or double-click GuildForge.exe for a menu with no commands to remember.

Setup details (creating the bot, permissions, Community and boost notes) are in the
README.

Requirements

  • Windows standalone .exe (no Python needed). Python 3.10+ to run from source.
  • An official Discord bot token with Administrator permission on the target server. Put the bot role at the top of the target's role list.
  • Only copy servers you own or have explicit permission to copy.

Known limitations

  • Messages, members, webhooks, integrations, AutoMod, events, and member-specific permission overwrites are not copied.
  • Managed roles are skipped. A bot cannot manage roles above its own highest role.
  • Community-only channels fall back on targets without Community. Banners need boost level 2; invite splashes need level 1.
  • Lottie stickers cannot be created by bots, and template sources contain no settings, emojis, or stickers.
  • On a non-empty target, copying positions can shift existing items. Use --clear-target for an exact layout.

Verify the download

SHA256 checksum of GuildForge.exe:

Check it on Windows with:

Get-FileHash .\GuildForge.exe -Algorithm SHA256

Antivirus note

Some antivirus products flag PyInstaller executables as false positives. Download only from this Releases page, verify the checksum above, or run from source with pip install -e ..
